Puppy Social Details

Well-socialized puppies develop into safer, more relaxed and enjoyable pet dogs. This is because they’re more comfortable in a wider variety of situations than poorly socialized dogs, so they’re less likely to behave fearfully or aggressively when faced with something new. Our window for these opportunities is very small and we want to help you ensure you’re doing all you can to set your puppy up right.
Socializing is about experiencing new things. This is a chance for your dog to interact with other puppies and humans in a safe environment. We will be giving useful tips on reading body language, understanding healthy boundaries, new exposures and desensitization. Each session will be different from the last.
This is for dogs from 8 weeks to 5 months.
The really key time for this is 8 – 16 weeks, so don’t miss out!
Approximately 5 socials is a good number but if a pup is more nervous it could be more, if they are overly confident it could be less.

The SOCIALIZATION LIST
It’s not just about playing, here’s a great checklist to be sure you’re doing your daily dose of socializing for your new pup CLICK HERE.

Puppy Social Safety
There will not be any formal lessons in these classes.
Not all puppies play on their first day. Safety is always first and for most. Some groups have little to no play so we work on other things that will be important to your dogs healthy development and build confidence for the next session.
If they play, they can only play for so long before they could over do it and it’s no longer beneficial, so we keep the play short and sweet.
Most puppy classes are just questions and answers anyhow.
Oftentimes puppy owners have the same questions or have not come across this issue yet and will now have the info in advance.
If there are no questions to cover we will just watch and learn how these amazing creatures develop their communication skills with each other.
Mats and accidents are cleaned effectively to be sure to kill any virus.
Puppy skills are so important and they are much better at teaching each other than we ever could.
